The new
OTI-Scan 2000 is the most advanced ophthalmic
B & A-Scan ultrasound system available today. This compact combination
B & A-Scan system operates with a single desktop PC computer,
using Windows XP, and the easy to use graphical interface is displayed
on one screen to prevent scrolling between screens.
The
OTI-Scan 2000 is "Designed For The Way
You Practice" and offers two different models each designed
to improve office work flow, and simplify the way you work. For
supervised exams, and fast patient throughput, OTI offers the verstile
and full-featured "Fast Scan and Print
"Office
Model". To track patients over time, indirectly supervised
exams, or for use in multi-user enviroments, OTI offers the
"Clinic Model" with database function.
The
Dynamic Digital Recording
feature allows for quicker, less intrusive examinations. Forty seconds
of real time B & A-Scans can be captured digitally and can be
reviewed as a movie or in frame by frame playback mode leaving the
examiner free to focus on the exam instead of concentrating on capturing
invidividual images. This makes the exam less stressful for both
examiner and patient and allows the patient to view the movie and
to gain a better understanding of the diagnosis. The Dual Screen
Display allows the user to view both normal and zoomed images -
in movie format - simultaneously and allows excellent visualization
of tissue, mobility and vascularity of low-density structures in
the vitreous.
The B-probe operates in two scanning angles. The "Wide Scanning
Field" of 50° allows wide views of ocular structures in
relation to the anatomy of the posterior segment and the orbit,
while the "Narrow Scanning Field" of 35° is used to
image very small structures in the Posterior segment. This narrow
scanning angle maintains the same number of scanning lines which
are packed at a narrower scanning angle and therefore which provides
a higher lateral resolution of each image.
