The i-SCOPE endoscopy system offers visualization that surpasses
the limitations of surgical microscopes. The i-SCOPE microendoscopes
offer a 50 mm depth of field and a 74 degree wide angle of view
for ease of orientation. The i-SCOPEs can provide an extremely magnified
view or a panoramic view, changing by varying the distance between
the scope and the area of interest.
The i-SCOPE and 3CCD microvideocamera can provide visualization
to normally inaccessable or difficult to view areas within the eye.
The ability to obtain view through non-transparent media and display
it on a high resolution monitor is of obvious benefit to the surgeon.
With the working channel for laser fiber the surgeon has the ability
to provide effective laser treatment to a highly targeted area with
minimal damage to the surrounding tissue.
Xe-Lite Xenon
Light Source
The Xe-Lite Xenon light source provides bright,
cold white light with no colour distortion to ocular tissue. The
light source has filters for infra-red, and ultraviolet to avoid
phototoxicity and heat radiation to the retina and macula. The EMI
(electro-magnetic interference) filters prevent interference with
OR equipment. The Xenon lamp's minimal life of 500 hours is backed
by warranty.
Rotating Wheel Adapter
The XE-LITE's rotating wheel adapter, with intensity adjustment,
accepts four different light probes.
3CCD Micro Video Camera & Control Unit
The microvideo camera that provides 750 lines of resolution and
the control unit unit are built into the system, providing RGB,
S-VHS output.
i-SCOPE Microendoscopes
The endoscopes are available in three different options:
10,000 pixel 19 gauge straight probe with working channel for laser
fiber
10,000 pixel 19 gauge curved probe with working channel for laser
fiber
30,000 pixel 19 gauge straight no working channel
The i-SCOPE microendoscopes offer a 50 mm depth of field and a
74 degree wide angle of view for ease of orientation.
Laser Fibers
The laser fibers which are 100 microns in diameter can be used
with most lasers. The retractable fibers can be extended from the
surface of the endoscope to prevent thermal damage to the endoscope
lens.
High Resolution Color Video Monitor
The video monitor provides 750 line resolution and is available
in 13" or 19" screen size.
VCR (Optional)
An optional dual deck JVC high-resolution digital video recorder
is available as an add-on to the system.
